Angels Gate Safe Haven For Women And Their Children is a vision given direct from the heart of God to reach out and share the Love of Christ with those who are lost, lonely and hurting. Women and their children that have been battered and abused will soon have a place to come in Dothan for Total Recovery In Christ. We are a Faith Based, Christ Centered Residential Fellowship that will be for many a first ever truly loving home experience.
Upon arrival each resident is evaluated and screened, the screening is not to exclude anyone but identify the needs of that individual and her children. After their needs are assessed a recovery plan is then mapped out with a realistic recovery time for that individuals needs. There will be no minimum nor maximum stay requirements unless deemed so by the courts or governing agencies.
Partnering with available helps organizations and a team of lay and professional volunteers the recovery process will include: counseling for the mother and children, discipleship classes, recovery meetings, job skill assessments,job training and job placement, parenting classes, life skill classes, life style groups, educational opportunities from G.E.D. to College Courses, social & relationship skills, communication classes, financial management classes all in a Family Oriented Faith at Home Environment.
